kind of treatment.
Passengers deserve better. We shouldn’t have to rely on personal connections before something as basic as proper communication, accountability and decent treatment is provided.
This was my fate last night, being Sunday.
I was taking my kids back to Lagos from Owerri so they could resume school on Monday. Our flight was originally scheduled for 3:55 p.m., but it was later rescheduled to 7:00 p.m.
We arrived at the airport by 6:00 p.m.
up.
We finally departed at about 11:40 p.m.
Honestly, the whole experience was so frustrating and chaotic. The way passengers were treated, after all the delays and uncertainty, was simply unacceptable. What is even more disturbing is the apparent lack of consequences for this
Fortunately, @OjyOkpe was also scheduled to travel on the same aircraft. She had to put a call through to Mr. Allen Onyema, who eventually arranged for an empty aircraft, the same aircraft that had been cancelled for passengers travelling from Lagos to Owerri to come and pick us
only to be informed that the flight had been moved again, this time to 8:25 p.m. Then, at about 7:00 p.m., we were told the flight had been cancelled altogether.
Some passengers were taken to a nearby hotel for the night, but I decided to wait it out at the airport.
