@SashazDollz It clashes for me. The new color palette being airy with the pale green and purples already has a bold accent color in the orangy gold. The red is just too much. I want to see how they can better incorporate it into her outfits because so far Oasis proves red clutters her visual
@rebornikuh@SeeingMount This is always the case. Promotional artwork can be slapped on a t shirt easily and it’s often better than the actual dolls. Think of the entirety of Ever After High
@fairyoftwt The ultimate failure of Ever After High was that all their promotional art looked better than the actual dolls. The poor relationship with Disney was just the final death knell
@holthyde_ The every doll is Barbie thing is just 2023 movie lore. And even in that movie Midge isn’t Barbie, nor is Skipper. Yes, every unnamed doll can be referred to as Barbie. But distinct characters, like Brooklyn, aren’t part of the singular Barbie entity
@rosettasparkle With how Mattel never capitalized on reproducing Barbie movie dolls, maybe not. There’s prob some weird copyright legalities there bc these were collaborations with third party studios/distributors. But they rereleased Cupid from sweet 1600 to basic core, so it’s possible
@cinnabonchikkk I don’t understand the insistence to use this body when it doesn’t allow for bicep articulation. Can’t they just try a little harder and make a new one…
@i_love_fic0id@capwilsons You’re being dense if you don’t believe bringing back Chris Evans will overshadow Anthony Mackie’s Cap. It doesn’t matter what happens in story. The optics are that Steve is back. The “one true Cap” is back. And that absolutely sidelines Sam, who people still can’t accept as Cap
