Paper accepted! Look for "Host-choice by a specialist folivore reflects trade-offs between foliage quality and parasitism risk" soon in @Ecol_Ent. This is the MSc work of awesome lead author @1aurenstead, cosupervised by me with @robcjohns. Great work Lauren!
@StephenBHeard At the top of O'dell there are some patches in flower. I saw the same pattern in the some areas in Saint John (patches in "higher" elevation in bloom). Was curious why that would be the case?
Congratulations to @1aurenstead - both for a terrific MSc defence, and for emerging victorious in the Battle of the Champagne Cork! Such a pleasure having you in the lab, Lauren!
Dr. @StephenBHeard and his research lab have received more than $400K in federal funding for a study into the impact of spruce budworm outbreaks on the environment and climate change: https://t.co/tdv40oGxFu #UnivResearch@NSERC_CRSNG@UNBResearch

Learning today from Dr. David Shiffman @WhySharksMatter about how to use Twitter effectively as a tool for effective science communication. I know I don’t use it effectively yet... so I might have some odd tweets today as we all learn some tricks of the trade!
