It may appear to some as harmless banter, but there is a standard of conduct expected from an elected Member of Parliament. As my representative, I find it concerning when an elected MP uses gestures, laughter, manner of speech, or even applause in a way that appears to ridicule a fellow member. Such behavior undermines the dignity of the office and the institution as a whole.

I hope that the orientation provided to new MPs by the RSP instill a stronger sense of decorum and responsibility. Conduct in public places should reflect maturity, restraint, and respect. @SwarnimWagle @hamrorabi
