@Damn_It_Dillon I'm not saying D&D doesn't have problems (chainmail bikinis), I'm just struggling to equate an RPG in which many of the social rules are defined by the playergroup/DM with, let's say, the social underpinnings of the British Empire.

@symatt Characters can be pretty convincing, but it's not a freebie charm person. I don't let players roll for things that are impossible within the rules of the world. The moment the Bard "persuades" the black dragon to hand over its gold, you've shot verisimilitude in the face.
