@BBCHughPym Not everything is urgent, not everything needs to be seen within a fortnight. The wait for a hospital specialist can often be three months plus. A fortnight doesn’t seem too bad in the current climate, particularly if not urgent. Bottom line. Not enough GPs

@wesstreeting @bmj_latest I think it would start by deep diving into some of the evidence between the models and why they exist. Some may have evolved out of desperation of no other option. I’m not sure the bmj article adds anything to the debate. Data lacking

It’s seem to me it takes the average health secretary at least 5 years to understand the complexities of the NHS before they can make any meaningful contributions. The trouble is they are out within 4 years

Health policy should not be based on personal experience and views of middle aged men. I know I am one and I watched Andrew Lansley. I have the eccentric view that we should use data and evidence, experience from elsewhere and history.
