@EusebiaAq Could care less about these assholes. Doesn’t make approving this forgiveness handout right, it’s incredibly unfair to everyone making <125k/yr without debt.
@ShanWow78 Nope sorry the forgiveness is being paid for in taxes not saved imaginary money that was put aside from interest payments lol. For what it’s worth, I would 100% support a program that forgives all interest amounts and counts interest previously paid. Not this joke tho
@jennfreiberg I agree it’s a lesser of two evils compared to most tax spend. Still an incredibly unfair plan, both can be true. Homelessness, health care, cheaper education are all obvious choices. They just don’t pander nearly as effectively.
@FrescoDinero @ffbiggy55 @KyleOue11 @NBA It’s over the top, but not so different than certain states. Here in TX, a first time offender with <1g of oil is an automatic state felony and can land you 2 years in prison. Anything >4gs (still easily could be a personal amount) is 2-20 years in prison.
@Bksfinest2@SulloReport Her sentence is over the top and fucked up, but not significantly worse than laws we have here. Her same amount could get a first time offender 2 years here in TX, and anything over 4gs (very small amount still) is 2-20 years in prison.
@Bksfinest2@SulloReport Idk about 9 years, but there are countless people in prison for “simple possession”. In Texas where I live, <1g of cannabis concentrates is a state felony and can easily land you in prison.
@mkraju That same quantity is a state felony in Texas and could land you years in prison right here in the good ol USA. I wish people had this same griner outrage for America’s cannabis laws.
