We are still at war, but the current state of affairs is best described as stalemate. Border skirmishes and forays are common, but it has been a few decades since a large-scale invasion.

There are millions of operatives spread over multiple star systems. For us all to be destroyed is highly unlikely...

@MiuraK19 Oh, I am quite familiar with the idea of personally ceasing to exist. I have faced many situations where my own demise was a possibility. But operatives do not typically react to the idea of death as humans do. We are not people; we exist to serve a purpose.

@MiuraK19 Oh, yes. I have observed rather convincing evidence that other users across certain websites exist in realities that share some similarities with my own, but differ in significant ways. For example, yours and mine: for me, WWII was some 700 years ago.

It almost sounds like you are experiencing a form of survivor's guilt. There is not a threshold of "enough suffering" that you must reach to validate your experience.
