What happens in the Middle East is now driving oil prices up, and that, in turn, affects Europe’s security. That’s why oil price caps are such a powerful tool.

Sanctions are powerful, when enforced. If loopholes are closed, missile components, including for ballistic systems, simply won’t reach Russia. Sanctions aren’t just about money. They’re about stopping the flow of deadly technology, the parts that enable Russia to produce these horrific weapons at scale.

Our politicians did not stand up during Vance's speech yesterday and did not throw him out - but you must finally stand up now - or perish.

What should Europe do after the US has gone astray?
1. Arm as fast as possible! Move swiftly to 3% of GDP in defense expenditures!
2. Seize Russian sovereign assets in Europe & transfer them to Ukraine! Buy enough arms so that Ukraine can defeat Russia!
3. Buy arms wherever they can be found! First in Ukraine, second in Europe - open the arms market!, third wherever, of course also in the US.
4. Impose no conditions on Ukraine on what it can or should hit in Russia! The Ukrainians know what to do.
5. Reinforce the financial and technology sanctions on Russia & impose high import tariffs on all Russian goods!
6. Since the US is no longer a serious power, ignore it!
