@MumukshuSavitri@invest_mutual And lastly, it’s us people - majority are uneducated even the ones with degrees, lack civic sense and duties required to sustain an environment not just for us but for everyone and for all future generations
@MumukshuSavitri@invest_mutual The other issue is of chronic incompetence in our ruling class - politicians and bureaucrats (regardless of party, religion, caste, region, language they subscribe to). The are simply incapable of delivering quality outcomes - Bangalore’s traffic situation is a prime example.
@kendheswapnil You’re a voice of reason! But you’re also a one-track pony (the track being index funds). Has your advisory evolved over time to offer better returns to your clients? #justasking … no need to respond here but more for you to ask yourself this question!
@jk_rowling If you believe not one of the above, you’re fodder for the illiberal, fundamentalists, totalitarians and terrorists. Ignorance of evil does not lead to absence of evil.
@VishalBhargava5 Brown skinned canines are incompetent- the government, the governed everyone. Third rate babus who majored in art history, downright corrupt politicians, and the average subhuman uncivilised, uncouth, low IQ conformist
@ActusDei@Shiprasorout Hi Neil, I was under the impression that one doesn’t have to declare mutual funds unless you have redeemed and have some capital gain or loss to declare!!! Can you pls confirm that if I bought MFs 5 years back and have never redeemed, I still need to show all of them in AL sch
@kaul_vivek This whole genre is now surreptitiously blending in with the “self-help” / motivational stuff and the funny thing is that there are no direct strategies for money management or investing but cleverly worded “home truths” most people already have at the back of their minds!!!
I have worked & stayed in different countries in my 33 years of working life. Travelled to myriad other countries for leisure.
No where I've faced poorer work culture than my own country. It's frustrating to do business in fast, productive & efficient way.
Most people in private sector are demotivated or over smart; many pretend to know everything w/o knowing the basics of their jobs & oblivious of the critical and fundamental difference between intelligence and cleverness. Many think being clever is a substitute of being intelligent & diligent.
In Public sector, problem of accountability is completely absent.
Bureaucracy, in their functioning & attitude still live in an era of the past. Their attitude has always been that of the rulers & their subjects not the 'civil servants' & citizens.
A great nation is built on great work ethics and mutual trust in impersonal transactions. Physical infrastructure is brick & mortar of development but the glue that binds a great nation is built on great work ethics & mutual trust among strangers!
Our political, social & business leaders failed us miserably in this area for last many generations. Nepotism, dynastic politics, corruption, apathy, lack of basic civic amenities bear testimony to this.
@avasthiniranjan Not really. Say, I implement bond laddering by buying both short, medium and long term maturity bonds today, given the interest rise scenario, the long term maturity bonds will fall in value leading to loss
