@akamatchstic I would question if the majority of these people pushing for a switch have had a meaningful difference in experience with Twitter since Musk or if the drive is centered around a personal feeling and/or politics. If so, then leave but why push others to leave if they are fine.

@akamatchstic I follow a lot of tech people too and have seen a lot of post about Masto. It just all strikes me as group think. People wanting to influence everyone else because of their personal feelings about Musk. Regardless if there are any meaningful changes.

@akamatchstic Fair enough. I guess it comes down to the circle you are in. For me, I struggle to see any difference outside of just media coverage and attacks, both fair and unfair in my view. That’s just noise to me though. How I experience it has not changed at all. Seems more engaging

By “free speech”, I simply mean that which matches the law.

I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law.

If people want less free speech, they will ask government to pass laws to that effect.

Therefore, going beyond the law is contrary to the will of the people.
