We aim to improve liquidity in the Cardano ecosystem with a permissionless, fully decentralized indexing vending machine. This will lower the barrier to entry for institutional investors. The Cardano ecosystem currently suffers from liquidity issues due to a lack of investment vehicles for native tokens, resulting in low activity on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and limited growth opportunities.

We are launching the MAYZ Protocol, a decentralized, permissionless, and non-custodial protocol for creating and managing Cardano Native Token Funds by community members. This will enable the creation of community-managed funds, enhancing the ecosystem's robustness and inclusivity.

🗳️MAYZ Cardano Index Funds: Escrow Smart Contracts

Our goal is to enhance user participation in the MAYZ Protocol Cardano Funds by introducing Escrow Contracts. This will allow users to deposit only a portion of the Fund’s tokens, making it easier to participate. Currently, liquidity providers and market makers must possess all tokens in an index to obtain the Index token, which creates a high entry barrier.

A month ago, @IOHK_Charles did a video about “Liquidity and Value”, in which he explained some of the things Cardano could do to improve its liquidity. One of the ways that Cardano has is to develop decentralized Index protocols. Indexes can bring value to Cardano Native tokens, creating demand for Cardano Native Tokens. According to his vision, a Cardano Vending Machine is necessary. Users of all networks can deposit Ada and other tokens in one or multiple smart contracts, and they will be automatically converted to Cardano tokens.

A few explanations of the deeper functionality of our Protocol made by @Diego_Torres_:

The protocol's main goal is to allow users to gain exposure to different portfolios of assets, such as a DEX Fund, DEFI Fund, DevTooling Fund, and so on.
To do that, the protocol needs two things to happen:
1) Fund Managers have to create the fund.
2) Liquidity Providers have to fill swap orders.

In this first phase, the MAYZ Core Team will create the funds, acting as Fund Managers.
We will also provide liquidity. We will deposit the basket of tokens in each fund, therefore minting the Fund Tokens (FT).
These FTs are the products to sell to investors! But, to make them available, we must create Swap Offers allowing users to buy this FT with ADA. So, providing liquidity is essential for the FT to be available "for sale." This liquidity provider role will be open to anyone from the launch.

To be a Fund Manager & a Liquidity Provider, the user must stake $MAYZ in the protocol.
At first, we will bootstrap liquidity, but we need at least 100 LPs to provide liquidity. Both roles, Fund Managers (FM) and liquidity Providers, earn a fee for their services. FM earns a fee from the AUM (ASSET UNDER MANAGEMENT), and the LP earns a fee for TX. Being an LP is a profitable and secure business if you are long in Cardano. Basically, we allocate some capital in a swap offer.

This capital is either on ADA, in the FT, or both. Other users can buy FT from your offer, pay in ADA, sell FT to your offer, and get ADA in exchange. In both cases, you earn a fee. It is like providing liquidity to DEX but without impermanent loss.
