π Safer Communities Day
Yesterday, we held our annual #PLInspires Safer Communities Event to raise awareness about the dangers of gangs, county lines and knife crime.
A huge thank you to the fantastic speakers from @1message6 and @JJeffect18, who spoke to students about their lived experiences and provided some invaluable life advice.

Today, we visited Dean's Trust Wigan.
@matthew_norford delivered awareness assemblies about gangs,exploitation, and grooming to pupils in each year group.
Funded by @GM_VRU as part of a Community Led Partnership Alliance in the Worsley Hall area of Wigan.
Burnley FC in the Community organised a knife crime awareness event.Young people attended and took part in a workshop that covered exploitation,keeping safe,choices and consequences,peer pressure, and the impact of knife crime @matthew_norford@BurnleyFC_Com

To celebrate the evaluation and success of the BLOCKS project in schools.This project supports pupils in their transition from primary to high school.
@matthew_norford delivered a wokshop at Thomas Ashton SEMH school.
One member of staff stated:
"The pupils struggle to sit and listen for 20 minutes,we have never seen them engage so well and for so long before"

Today, we visited Kearsley academy Bolton, assemblies were delivered to years 7,8, and 9 pupils. This work is funded by the Community Led Partnership Alliance in Bolton
The pupils were engaged and represented the school in an outstanding way.

Matthew spoke to the young people about his life and breaking the cycle.
