Genuine question: why do people talk about energy as the main bottleneck for AI progress? Even if the energy constraint were solved, we’d still have major hurdles around datasets, algorithms, and other scaling limits between today’s models and any kind of superintelligence. Why is the energy issue always painted as only wall that's in the way here? Thanks for any insight.
