PA pressure dropped nicely, back pain resolved, and O2 sat bumped up after thrombectomy. Lots of PVCs during case though. Pt found to have 2nd degree type 2 heart block later in hospitalization requiring PPM, but otherwise recovered nicely.
Guy in his 50s or 60s with no major medical problems came to ED with SOB and back pain. Hypoxic needing O2. CT with evidence of right heart strain and mild bump in troponin and BMP.
Had difficulty making turn into RPA with Triever 24. After getting kicked out a few times, sent the Triever 16 through the 24 into the interlobar artery and rode the 24 over it. Made a few passes with the 24 to grab clot.
