@Magesrook @696969damnright @UzairSaleem23@RobMaaddi (2 of 2) It didn’t sound like Lurie was planning to fire Doug. They just had their end of season meeting and Dougs lack of vision as well as other issues he had this year caused Lurie to determine Doug had to go. I liked Doug. It’s a shame. He will bounce back eventually though.
@Magesrook @696969damnright @UzairSaleem23@RobMaaddi Idk. Doug shit the bed when he lobbied for those two wr picks and he also does not know enough quality coaches to replace coaches he loses. Also when Lurie asked for his plan for wentz and the O, his answer was bring Press Taylor back. Lurie then knew Doug was no longer the guy.
@696969damnright @Magesrook@UzairSaleem23@RobMaaddi I don’t. I trust Lurie to fire him if he is shitting the bed which is why I believe the report that howie took dougs input and ended up passing on Jefferson and mercalf.
@Magesrook @696969damnright @UzairSaleem23@RobMaaddi I am not over there but wouldn’t the fact that Doug and wentz are both gone lead to the conclusion that at some level there was an issue? That wentz still wanted out even after Doug was fired shows you what a quitter he is as well. I don’t mind wentz moving on.
@Magesrook @696969damnright @UzairSaleem23@RobMaaddi Yeah heaven forbid. He wanted to fix it so bad that even after the coach he was upset with was fired he still wanted out. He made no attempt to work anything out, which I am fine with. Someone whose first instinct is to quit when things get challenging isn’t the guy.
@CaptJack1993@RickDownes21 @Tantalizmo @Eagles Neither one of us know if that is true or not but I didn’t pull it out of the air, a beat reporter put it out there that Doug gave input and Roseman who has final say went with it. It was part of the reason Doug was fired. Along with virtually no plan to fix the offense
@696969damnright @UzairSaleem23@RobMaaddi It tells me they were right to draft him. Wentz was hurt every year and played like shit last year. As soon as they sat him down he quit on the team. He said he knew he wanted out the day they benched him. He took the money and as soon as things became difficult he gave up.
@RickDownes21@CaptJack1993 @Tantalizmo @Eagles Yeah it is hard to tell this year and I don’t disagree. I think it’s Surtain and then everyone else but like you said who knows this year.
@RickDownes21@CaptJack1993 @Tantalizmo @Eagles Also I think they either take waddle who will be there or more likely they go cb and take surtain. As for the pick next year. There is a decent chance they have three 1’s, two of which can be moved to get into the top ten (if they are not already there). It’s a rebuild
@CaptJack1993 @Tantalizmo @Eagles Idk why I thought they went from 190 to 130. Anyway I don’t mind the trade obviously, they got another #1 and whether we like it or not they are rebuilding so the more and the higher the better. Moving back 6 spots and getting a 1sr rounder works for me
@CaptJack1993 @Tantalizmo @Eagles What? They moved 6 spots and gave up a 1 and the Eagles moved up 60 spots in the 3rd/4th. It’s a great move. It’s not like Miami gave the Eagles the 30th pick.
@NinjaBands I don’t get that. He takes the ball up and passes to a guy who puts up a three. I think people re wishing him to be more than he is. I saw 3 missed layups followed by two missed free throws in the first 5 minutes. No hate, just see him differently.
