@nutrimedpro I put the word "racist" in quotation marks because, long ago, science PROVED all humans belong to one race. Therefore, "racist" & "racism" is a false premise, though one of our worst problems; a pathological arrogance and an emotionally infectious illness, which can be cured.

All but two are laying with their feet in the same direction, with one laying on her left side instead of her right flank, but her feet are in the same direction as all but two. There is one standing; no doubt standing guard. I say "her" because all the family adults are female.

This is so rare!!!
Elephants can't lay down for very long. It has something to do with their heart & lungs, I think, maybe. But I DO know they don't lay down much. I knew this growing up with them in the circus, where my father walked the high wire. I will always love elephants.

Does anyone else seriously dislike the word "Fan". It's short for "fanatic". That's just a terrible, demeaning term for Love of Great Music, and Music Appreciation; Which is such an important part of civilization and being human. There's GOT to be a better short word than "Fan".

OOO!! I LOVE cool dancing. So cool. When you're really dancing, you're defying gravity. It's like floating, like what she's doing; being as much in the air and on the earth; even if just a little bit off the ground. As if the reason she lands is to play the earth like her drum.

@Hellbeastly Yes, my 3 acres in Vermont are still mostly snow, but, ground patches are starting to appear. Still too soon to say for sure.

@kalmantibs Elephants have a 16 pound brain which, neuroscientists say is configured very similarly to the human brain. But, our brain weighs only 3 lbs. No they don't need 16 pounds of brain to move their big body around when larger whale sharks have much smaller brains. Elephants remember.

@Urbanartist2 They are so cute. I once had a small bat flying around inside my house. They don't fly ANYTHING like a bird. It looks almost like a phony impersonation of flying. Their wings hardly move at all, but, boy, could they avoid getting caught. I had to wait till it got dehydrated.
