Last night was our last meeting of this term and after giving them options of what we should do they chose bowling . They all really enjoyed the night, and the food, think we have some future professionals on our hands 😄
As its the 1st day of the #WomensEuro2025 we had a football theme to tonights meeting. Started with a keepy up challenge using balloons, followed by wordsearch of participating teams and creating or own mascots #FootballFun
Had a great day today @MarketRasenRace for our County activity day. Loads for the girls to do, the weather was lovely and we got a free ice cream 🍦. Girls had a great time and should sleep tonight. Thanks to everyone involved #FunButTiring
Tonight @PCSOAndyW came to our meeting to give the girls a talk on Road Safety inc a PowerPoint to help the girls interact, which they did. All said they enjoyed it and would like Andy to come back for other sessions when he's available
Tonight as Thinking Day is approaching we discussed how Guiding isnt just our unit but also includes other units in our district/division/county/region/country and of course globally.
For our last meeting of the term we finished Olympic Challenge with a silly sports day. Tri-athlon (running, skipping, walking like a crab), relay (running with small container to bowl of water and back to fill cup), paper plate discus and drinking straw javelin
Tonight we started makin Olympic rings using @hamabeads for Olympic Challenge badge we got some of girls to work in pairs and the rest on their own. We discussed the pros and cons for both ways and what they preferred.

Tonight we tested our hand-eye co-ordination as part of the special Olympic badge. We played table tennis with a twist (using hands instead of bats), keepy uppy with table tennis ball & bat then outside for badminton (not easy with breeze 😄)

Had couple of non program weeks with last week being Mental Health Awareness week we had night of line dancing & games for fun, this week had pamper night face masks, nails (clear varnish cos of schools) hand massage, towels and pillows to lay on

So we've finished this term with a few Easter crafts. Bags the girls have coloured themselves, Easter bunnies made of socks filled with rice and of course some yummy chocolate nests with mini eggs.

We had a lovely afternoon with other units in our Division to celebrate Thinking Day. The girls took part in activities relating to countries around the world.

Tonight we had a visit from @PCSOAndyW Told us about his role within the police, showed us his uniform, everything he carries & what it does. Girls were v attentive and engaged. Had a quiz at the end of the talk and the girls were very enthusiastic getting all the answers right
Tonight we did some work about the history of Brownies. Talked about how it started, looked through some old hand and badge books to see how things have changed. Sooty Owl brought in her camp blanket with bages she's collected over the years #EveryoneLovesABadge#LeadersFeelOld
