@HMRCcustomers Hi there, when completing a self assessment, I have an unpaid invoice for work done for a company that went bankrupt. I contacted the insolvency/liquidation team dealing with it and filled the form out but but told I wont receive the amount owed. How do I show this

@HMRCcustomers Thank you for this. I have two more questions on this; do I declare this as bad debt in the t/year that they filed for bankruptcy which is the same t/year the invoice was due or the t/year they were declared bankrupt? and which section in traditional accounting expenses section?
