We are a new Scout Group based at Christ Church Beckenham, providing everyday adventure for young people in Beckenham and the surrounding area!

This week, the Cubs visited Dorset Road allotments for their gardening badge. The Cubs worked really hard to repair bug hotels and clearing out and repotting some flowers for the secret garden. Many thanks to Dorset Road allotments for our visit!

The Scouts had a great time at PGL Windmill Hill, with adventurous activities including climbing wall, giant swing, abseiling, Jacob's Ladder and fencing.

For our last meeting of the term, Cubs and Scouts went to Flip Out Croydon. Everyone had a great time - could try laser quest, bumper cars, synthetic ice rink, ninja tag, inflatable obstacle course, mini golf.

The Cubs visited Bromley Reform Synagogue as part of their World Challenge Award. Many thanks to Sandra for a really interesting evening. The Torah scrolls were amazing!

This week Cubs celebrated Chinese New Year with Chinese food and learning some simple phrases in Mandarin and Cantonese. They finished building the dragons and lions they started last week and the evening finished with a dragon and lion dance!

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all returned this week after the Christmas holiday. Cubs and Scouts both had games nights, including dodgeball and human hungry hippos.

A great end to the year with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all bowling at the Pavilion Leisure Centre - and taking part in the international Jambowloree competition. Have a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

The amazing Beavers Christmas Sleepover, held with the 9th Penge and Beckenham North Beaver Colony. Christmas Crafts, pizza, camp fire (with singalong and marshmallows), Home Alone the movie, bedtime stories! Many thanks, as always, to Christ Church Beckenham for their halls.

This Tuesday, the Cubs commemorated Remembrance Day. As part of the evening they decorated stones with poppies and messages. We also learnt about the contribution of Scouts to the war effort and decoded a message sent via semaphore.

On 2nd November, the Cubs were visited by the former mayor of Bromley, Hannah Gray, for UK Parliament Week. They had great fun learning about democracy in the UK and debating some key issues such as homework or no homework, Burger King or McDonalds?

The Cubs had an amazing weekend at PGL Marchants Hill, where we did six different adventurous activities - raft building, zip wire, abseiling, climbing wall, giant swing and challenge course. Thanks to Tash and all the PGL team!

This week, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts were visited by the fantastic @joesbows, who brought along 6 different birds of prey. Everyone had an amazing time - lying on the floor with an owl flying just above being a highlight!

This week, the Cubs went litter picking in Kelsey Park as part of our community impact project. I never released litter picking could be so competitive! Many thanks to Bromley Council for providing the litter pickers and bags and collecting all the rubbish afterwards.

The Cubs and Scouts had an amazing afternoon at Pinewood Scout Centre learning how to kayak. Thanks to all the instructors for running such a great session.

The Cubs learn about grid references by playing a game of battleships, with one team in the Main Hall and another in the Jubilee Hall. Shots were communicated via walkie-talkie.
