@PatriciaRy54370@theoztrucker Gina could easily have bought Labor or Liberal if she wanted to control the government.
If Labor or Liberal actually did a good job, One Nation wouldn’t be in the conversation. Money didn’t buy the popularity. Failures of the major parties did.
@TheKouk Anyone running against Newsom only needs to point at the condition of California. Unlikely the rest of the country would opt for that kind of governance.

It’s the top Google result for ‘One Nation policies.’
Stop listening to the morons on X who say they don’t have policies.
@CamelTamer@SkyNewsAust Yes. Correct. Perhaps you misunderstood my previous post.
Labor is trending downward. The later they wait to hold an election, the worse their chances will be. It’s in their interest to have it sooner or risk losing more seats.
@CamelTamer@SkyNewsAust That’s the whole point. The sooner they hold an election, the better their chances are.
All trending data suggests it’s all going in the wrong direction for both major parties.
@JohnThomasPhoto@AshPolitik Check each polls source.
- Respondent-allocated preferences
- stated preference
- Previous election
- historic flows
- blend
That will tell you how it’s done. Given the massive voter swings since Jan, historic/previous/blend is unreliable data.
@Cbluepacific@notcapnamerica Show me the statistics of homelessness per 100,000 for America and Australia. And deaths as a result. It doesn’t favour America. And I don’t actually take any pleasure in that. You just take things personally and you’re emotional. Try to calm down a little.
@Cbluepacific@notcapnamerica Yeah I think you’ve entirely missed the point and become really emotional and defensive about something most people want, which is a better standard of living and less waste. I wish you all the best.
@Cbluepacific@notcapnamerica I think you’re taking this all way too personally. Good on you for helping your community.
The issue is that governmental systems are allowing public servants to profit off homelessness.
@Cbluepacific@notcapnamerica No. By all metrics USA is higher. I don’t know why you bother denying the issue. It’s not like I wish that upon the state. It’s fucking sad.
@Cbluepacific@notcapnamerica idkwhere you got your stats but the US has a much higher homelessness rate than Australia. And your stats even indicate the death by homelessness in the US is far higher too.
The indigenous issue is something entirely different again.
Either way California deserves better.
@Cbluepacific@notcapnamerica California is by far the worst homelessness and drug problem. It is bad. I go to the USA every year and it is substantially worse there each time. The people paid to deal with the problem are scamming the system to pay themselves.
@Cbluepacific@notcapnamerica The thing is, I agree with you on most of this. But you’re just deflecting from the original point. California deserves better and a change. More of the same governance is doing it no good.
@Cbluepacific@notcapnamerica If you’d be one of very few people to think California has been a success story in governance. There’s not shame in admitting what everyone knows. It should be much better. Waste and corruption has ruined it.
@Cbluepacific@notcapnamerica You can compare it to Australia if you like. It doesn’t change the fact that California has been grossly mismanaged and the people who live there deserve a change over more of the same. California and Australia shouldn’t be rewarding failed governments with more time in office.
@Cbluepacific@notcapnamerica As lovely as nature is, the government didn’t build it. Their management did help burn it though.
How about the high speed rail? Or tax? Or educational standards? Or homelessness?
