@NinthLifeCR Oh and also they had all the cats just out roaming around freely. A few cats were in the main waiting area, including a pretty dilute calico that could have gone missing or stolen. Volunteer was grossly negligent. Obviously volunteered for all the wrong reasons.

[Teddy @1teddyo]

@NinthLifeCR hey just wanted to bring to your attn that one of your volunteers had about 5-6 kids behind the glass in the adoption centre with the cats, putting the kittens in danger/under stress. Kids were climbing into the kitten quarters and forcing themselves onto the kittens

[Teddy @1teddyo]

All this went down at the PetSmart Burlington Centre Mall location.

[Teddy @1teddyo]

Not a good look on your standards of how these cats should be treated. This took place Sunday August 2nd between 2-3pm. This person should be removed from your volunteer list.

[Teddy @1teddyo]

The person who seemed to be the volunteer was sitting outside the adoption centre with a book in her lap letting these kids run rampant in the adoption centre. It was ridiculous to see. Looks like they used “volunteering” as an excuse to let these spoiled kids traumatize kittens.

[Teddy @1teddyo]

@PetSmart really wish I had taken photos because what I witnessed was unbelievable. If the volunteer or worker had to leave, they should have asked all visitors to step out until they returned.

[Teddy @1teddyo]

@PetSmart you guys need to do better because those cats were being stressed with those kids and their disruptive behaviour. Someone should be with them at all times. Especially if there are visitors behind the glass.

[Teddy @1teddyo]

@PetSmart I can only imagine if one or more of those kittens had gotten hurt, let loose or even stolen because those kids were left unattended. Again we’re talking a bunch of kids behind the glass with no employee supervision and a seemingly negligent parent.

[Teddy @1teddyo]

@PetSmart I wish I had took pictures, but I was more concerned about finding an employee. When I did, she said she would report it to a “coordinator” but no one came to the poor kitty’s rescue. Looks like everyone was on cashier and no attendee for the kittens around.

[Teddy @1teddyo]

@PetSmart one of the kids, a boy around 9-10 years old had even managed to climb up onto the top bunk of the kitten quarters and entered the quarters with the kitten - dirty shoes and all. How is this allowed to happen? His mom sat in the waiting area reading a book not watchng

[Teddy @1teddyo]

@PetSmart hey team, so I was at your Burlington Centre (store 3210) location today and was shocked to see that there were about 3-4 children unattended behind the kitten area that is out of bounds to the public without an employee present.
