There used to be nearby access also into Dorset Road when I was young however somewhat sadly at some point the residents at the northern end blocked off access to the downs.

They don’t do access like they used to!
When I was so much younger these #Salisbury steps were really intimidating especially on a gloomy weather day!
We used to talk of riding our bicycles down here to the point of giving ourselves nightmares!
Cannot imagine anyone ever did!
