@ThoughtCrimes80 When I was a kid, there was a period of time where my dad worked 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for about six years , and he never missed a day. He wasn't happy about it , but I never heard him complain about it once. He was a welder / electrician in a factory.

My daughter has 3 jobs. She rarely have even an evening off. Her fiancé has two. Why? They are building a massive savings for their down payment on a house, they don’t have car loans. They have mapped out how they want life to be and they are going all in now so when children etc in the future they are not behind the curveball.

@ThoughtCrimes80 20....year old me....work a full day starting at 8am, volunteered at a local animal rescue after for a few hours, showered and off to the country club for some line dancing 3 days a week, bed by midnight or 1am rinse and repeat....no problem. Just like everyone else I know.
