- Avoid green vegetables as they contain Vitamin K which increases the chance of forming a clot.
1. What is DVT
Deep Vein Thrombosis occurs when a blood clot (thrombus) forms in 1 or more of the deep veins in the leg. The most common sight of this are the Anterior tibial vein, Posterior Tibial Vein, Peroneal Vein, and Popliteal Vein.
11. INR check-ups
- Every 1-4 weeks
- Normal INR in patients taking Warfarin : 2-3
- High INR means slower clotting
- Normal INR in a healthy person 0.8-1.2
