In compliance with this decision, Historic Aircraft Collection's next scheduled "HAC At Home" event of 28 March 2020 is postponed and will be re-scheduled for a later date when IWM Duxford is able to re-open to the public.
In line with advice from Public Health England and following yesterday’s Government update on the rapid spread of the coronavirus, IWM has taken the decision to close all of its sites in effect from the end of today (Tuesday 17 March) until further notice.
We are delighted to announce our ‘Poland Day’ event, taking place on the 4th April 2020 at the Imperial War Museum Duxford. As part of our Polish Heritage Flight project and in partnership with Lagunas Spitfire Legacy we look forward to a very special and memorable day.
With the rapid progress on the Heinkel III restoration being made by the volunteer team at the Kent Battle of Britain Museum
It will be an exciting inclusion to this event.

Then onto our hangar for close access to our Spitfire, Hurricane Fury, Nimrod II and DH9 which included sitting in the Spitfire, cockpit viewing of our other aircraft, unique photographic opportunities as well as talking to the HAC team about the aircraft.
Artur's presentation continued to WW2 and the role that 300, 301, 304, 305, 307 Polish Sqns undertook as well as the aircraft they used in bomber or fighter-bomber capacity. The role that Polish Flight undertook special operations with 138 Squadron was also briefly mentioned.
Artur gave a detailed presentation covering the origins of the fledgeling Polish Air Force, which initially, post WW1, were equipped with Dh9 bomber aircraft amongst other Allied aircraft.
Another well attended HAC 'At Home' event was held today at IWM Duxford, guest speaker was Artur Bildziuk, Chairman of the Polish Airmens Association.
