An update on FSD Supervised in Europe

FSD is currently approved in five EU countries (NL, DK, BE, EE, LT), used by >70k customers for over 1 million km per day, and is 4.1x less likely to get into a crash compared to manual driving, measured across 100 million km on public EU roads.

Leading up to a potential EU-wide approval vote for FSD Supervised on October 6th, 2026, we have decided to open-source one of the key pieces of evidence used to support the Netherlands approval.

As a reminder, we adjusted the FSD design to be compliant with existing regulation (UN-R-171 DCAS) but requested an exemption for certain behaviors via the EU Article 39 procedure. The following dashboard is evidence of safety for those exemptions.

European countries recorded 19,400 road deaths in 2025. That's around 53 deaths/day, with the vast majority of these crashes attributed to human error. These deaths are largely preventable with technology we have today.

FSD Supervised is already saving lives where it’s approved – yet in much of Europe, that safety benefit remains locked behind bureaucracy.

FSD going far left, reaction time was far faster than any other human driver on the road.

And there’s this poor Porsche in front of me curbing his wheels while Tesla Full Self-Driving spared my wheels.

Couldn’t figure out why… until two bikers zipped past. It had made space for them.

And as the cherry on top? The bikers thanked me by putting their feet down.

Driving on FSD through one of the busiest streets in Bruges, Belgium 🇧🇪, a super touristy spot packed with pedestrians and cyclists.

Bruges has tons of car-free/low-traffic streets, and this one is closed to cars from 1 PM onward.

BREAKING: Belgium moves closer to approval for Tesla FSD testing

Last weekend, three vehicles collectively drove more than 5,000 kilometers on Belgian roads as part of FSD testing. The results were reportedly very positive, and several government ministers are said to have responded favorably to the outcome.

The matter is now being discussed in Parliament. More clarity on a possible approval is expected within the next one to two weeks.

If approved, this could mark an important step forward for Tesla FSD in Belgium and potentially contribute to broader progress for FSD across Europe.

J'ai un script qui me permet de démarrer (et stopper) la recharge de ma voiture depuis un petit pc. J'y suis presque 😍🙌

Le progrès qu'à fait tesla dans les finitions est incroyable. Ma MX est très bien pour son âge, mais là on est plusieurs niveaux au-dessus.
