Bats Stymied For Both Teams As SE Rising Sherrill 18U Loses To Caymol Showcase 18u

Both teams were strong in the circle on Saturday, but Caymol Showcase 18u was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-1 victory over SE Rising Sherrill 18U. Josey Kegley (2027) started the game for SE Rising Sherrill 18U and recorded 15 outs.

Reese Poole (2027) UNCG Commit homered to center field, which helped SE Rising Sherrill 18U tie the game at one in the top of the fourth.

Poole (2027) UNCG Commit went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. SE Rising Sherrill 18U won big over Team NC Kobziak/Turybury 18U 10-2 on Saturday.

SE Rising Sherrill 18U got on the board in the top of the second inning after Addison Trego (2027) singled, scoring two runs, Emery Coffield (2027) homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Kyla Hamby (2027) Georgia Commit grounded out, scoring one run.

SE Rising Sherrill 18U added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Maddy Steeele (2026) doubled to right field, Trego (2027) walked, Victoria Mackenzie (2028) grounded out, and Abbi Million (2026) Lipscomb Commit walked, each scoring one run.

Team NC Kobziak/Turybury 18U scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth on a home run to center field by Regan Godman (2027).

SE Rising Sherrill 18U scored one run in the top of the fifth on a solo home run to center field by Trego (2027).

Eleanor Brummond (2026) Harvard Commit earned the win for SE Rising Sherrill 18U. The starter gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking one. Brooklyn Green (2027) took the loss for Team NC Kobziak/Turybury 18U. The hurler went five innings, surrendering 10 runs (nine earned) on nine hits, striking out four and walking six. Remie Smith (2027) appeared in relief for SE Rising Sherrill 18U.

SE Rising Sherrill 18U tallied nine hits in the game. Coffield (2027) led SE Rising Sherrill 18U with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. SE Rising Sherrill 18U opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two home runs. SE Rising Sherrill 18U first got on the board when Poole (2027) UNCG Commit homered to center field, scoring three runs.

SE Rising Sherrill 18U scored five runs on two hits in the top of the second inning. Savanna Henderson (2027) Kentucky Commit drew a walk, scoring one run, and Poole (2027) UNCG Commit hit a grand slam to left field.

SE Rising Sherrill 18U scored eight runs on seven hits in the top of the third inning.
