(1/10) Our journey has come to an end. We have lost a very important person when finally reaching Cuba. Juan Ponce de Leon was horribly wounded when gathering freshwater in Florida. Although he passed, his presence and impact are still with us.
(10/10) Everybody can learn something from this outstanding voyage, which is all thanks to Juan Ponce de Leon. In memory of our great explorer and friend. #neverstopexploring
(9/10) Yes, we could have hurt them, but they did it first. Even Though I had my own opinion & was always a little concerned for the Calusa tribe, I had to be loyal to Ponce and do what he believed. With all that said, I miss my dear friend Juan and he will be remembered.
Right now we are on the boat with Juan Ponce de Leon and we are sailing towards Cuba. Here you can see our journey route, in case you were wondering how we got to Florida. We will let you know what happens when we reach Cuba.
Dear followers of Juan Ponce de Leon, I'm Pablo de Granada and I have horrible news. Our phenomenal explorer was wounded by a poisoned arrow from the horrible Calusa people. This is tragic! I told Ponce it will be too dangerous to return, but he never listens to anybody else!
π¨ALERTπ¨ We are gathering some water right now and we can see the Calusa tribe coming our way! Are they coming to scare us away once again?! #threat#ohno#Calusa
We have been slowly improving the work on our settlements, however, we need some more freshwater. We are going to gather some right now. #TeamSpain#freshwater#colonization
Coming back to our discoveries, we found a big marine animal. It looks like a weird species of a seal. I am so glad that we are learning so much about different marine animals as well as plants. I can't imagine how huge our farms will be when we take all of these goods to #Spain
(4/4) We know that the Calusa people are very fierce and unfriendly, therefore we have to act with caution otherwise we will get ourselves into a fight. But our soldiers are ready and we will win over this land. We also some evidence of sacrifice as well as cannibalism. #notcool
(1/4) Last time I was here, we thought that we were a huge threat to the Calusa tribe, but we learned that it's the opposite. They are a big threat to us, and also have opportunities from our voyage. Now we noticed that they have increased in size and there are about 50 villages.
(3/4)I wanted to dedicate this tweet for explaining the things we know about the Calusa tribe. We know that they rely on sea compared to agriculture. We also know they are fierce fighters and accomplished seamen. We found some canoes laying at the shores so they know how to swim.
