@20Lisha22067@airindia this issue does not need any financial compensations. All it needs is for AIR INDIA to track down everyone involved in this heinous act and punish them appropriately.
@airindia If you would like further evidence of your staff harassing wheelchair users and vulnerable passengers. Please look at this post - https://t.co/Bs1y6JSBiU?
Beyond appalling how many people have also experienced this behaviour.
My elderly disabled mother was harassed & extorted by wheelchair assistance staff at Mumbai airport on 31 July Air India BC ticket. They demanded a ₹20,000 bribe, verbally abused her, made her cry & initially refused to let her access the lounge or continue her journey.
@airindia You’ve given me a generic response with no actual meaningful action nor met any any of the demands we asked for. This complaint has not been taken seriously!
@20Lisha22067 The concerned authorities are requested to take cognisance of this grievance. We send our elders with hope, trust and confidence that they will be taken care of. The very basis of our culture and then to hear experiences like this are very disheartening!
Very very disappointing and disheartening to know of this. The assistants are paid by the authorities to do their jobs. They are not even allowed to take a tip but I know in gratitude a lot of customers offer & they take. That’s still acceptable not this! @airindia@AAI_Official
A deeply distressing incident involving my elderly, disabled mother, who was abused, harassed, and extorted by wheelchair assistance staff at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (@CSMIA_Official ) on 31 July 2025.
We want justice for my mother, and we are committed to raising awareness so this kind of treatment does not continue — especially for vulnerable and disabled travellers.
Please let me know if you’d like further details, documentation, or a direct account of the incident.
No human should ever have to go through this and made to feel humiliated especially being disabled! We want justice. Please share this with as many people as possible so we can get disciplinary action for all those staff involved in this nasty scheme.
