We had a great ending to our amazing season last night with our annual RoboKnights Banquet!
It was great to end the season by recognizing all the great people involved in this program!

No award for us this year, we still have yet to crack the mystery of the judges!
When all the points were tabulated we ended the tournament as the 15th ranked team. Only the top 7 teams advance to the World Championships.
That's a wrap on the playoffs!
The RoboKnights entered as the number 4 alliance.
We battled hard, winning 3 playoff matches and losing 2, ending up in 3rd place!

We were selected by Team 30686 - Electrolights to join them on the 4th alliance and we graciously accepted!

We kick things of in 30 minutes with the 4/5 alliance match!
Lunch break was what we needed!
The team bounced back, winning match 6, against the then number 2 team and also match 7!
We end the qualification round 4-3-0 with 22 ranking points. Our 3.14 average ranking points are good enough for the 8th seed.

Lunch break update. After a strong start, we hit a wall. Lost match 3 because of penalties. Lost match 4 because our robot malfunctioned. Lost match 5 because we faced off against the number 1 seed who's robot is amazing.
We are sitting at 12th after the first 5 matches.
Update after 2 qualification matches.
We are 2-0-0 and earned a total of 9 ranking points. The 4.5 ranking point average is good enough for a second place ranking, for the time being!
5 more matches to go, but we are off to a great start!
Day 1 of the Illinois FTC State Championship! We have set up our pit, met other teams, done our presentation, and checked into the hotel!
Qualification matches start tomorrow morning at 9am.

Ryan is a four year member of the RoboKnights and has been a core member of the team every season. For every season, he has been a member of our drive team and Director of Coding.
