I’d argue it’s extremely straightforwardly about that. What I said is that it doesn’t deal with the actually most interesting critiques of the show, flattening it.

The movie feels very uninterested in getting into an actual critique of the show’s real practices, instead just putting everything in scare quotes.

Again, please quote, and we can have this conversation. Until then, you are the only one bringing racist tropes into this dialogue. The article clearly states this all happened within a party community that was uncommonly permissive of drug use, and that Katherine was not new to drugs. So I’m about done with the bad faith fronting.

Where in the article is the contention made that he’s forcing/encouraging the drug use in order to have sex with women? There are many difficult accusations in the article, I don’t think that one is ever made. It’s not a story about consent to have sex while on drugs.

And again, where is white women specified? The subject of the article is white (or white passing, I don’t know anything about her) but that is never mentioned and the other women are wholly unidentified.

You either did not carefully read the article or are applying your own very specific lens.

I don’t think the article ever once mentions the race of any of the anonymous ex girlfriends, I have no idea if they were white or not, so this “black pimp forcing drugs on ‘his white girls’” narrative may be your own weird narrative fixation? There’s also no “pimp-like” language or code used at all
