The letter from Jayden Daniels’ attorney Adam Kenner to LSU football stating the program “must immediately cease and desist from any further use, display, publication, distribution, promotion, commercialization, or other exploitation of Mr. Daniels’ NIL in any manner or medium.”
There’s nothing in the letter about LSU using the No. 5 jersey. There’s no legal claim to the number itself. The communication is solely about Jayden Daniels’ NIL.
BREAKING
Source: Jayden Daniels has NOT asked #LSU to return the Heisman Trophy and the cease and desist letter was not filed in response to DJ Pickett wearing the number 5, but rather in an attempt to be compensated for use of his name, image and likeness, per sources.

Jayden Daniels’ teammates have reportedly been instructed to only give him high fours, as high fives are believed to constitute unauthorized use of his No. 5.
Joe Burrow on his number not being used at LSU:
“They told me that they wouldn’t use it again, but you never know what happens.”

Might be in the minority here, but why do y'all care how Jayden wants to handle his name and likeness it's his. If he don't rock with them stop using him for marketing, seems simple.
I don't watch Commanders games with casual fans. You know the ones that say, "they shoulda kept that boy Joe Whitt...they did him wrong". If you don't know your roster or season storylines, then don't invite me to watch the game with you. I ain't got time to bring you up to speed. :)
