Retail investors are beating the market:
Individual investors who invest through ETFs have returned +23% YTD on average.
By comparison, the S&P 500 ETF, $SPY, and the Nasdaq 100 ETF, $QQQ, have returned +12% and +15% over the same period under dollar-cost-averaging strategies.
Dollar-cost averaging measures performance as if the same fixed amount were invested regularly throughout the year, making this a proxy for how many retail investors actually invest.
Put differently, the average individual investor has nearly doubled the S&P 500's performance in 2025.
This comes as retail bet heavily on tech stocks and precious metals during the September and October rally.
Retail investors are dominating the market.
@SpeakerJohnson sincerely..... shut the fuck up. Ur party has fought it relentlessly since inception instead of working towards a solution. Go fucking do something about it . Collective pieces of shit all of you.
