Interesting guy to keep an eye on is Tegan Cain. The 2024 13th round pick out of Kansas missed all last season with an injury. He made his season debut with the Threshers Sunday, striking out 2 and sitting 95-97. He’s got a funky arm slot with an interesting 2-pitch mix

Tegan Cain (Kansas) is one of the best day 3 picks from the 2024 MLB draft in my opinion.

Drafted by the Phillies in the 13th round (402 overall), Cain throws a 3 pitch mix of FB/SL/CH. His FB sits @ 95mph averaging 20 inches of HB paired with a 27 whiff%.

His SL was his weakest pitch but shows signs of playing well when located. When placed in the zone his SL warranted a 33 whiff% and only allowed 3 BIP.

Through 26 appearances (31 IP) this year he posted a 3.22 FIP / 64 strike% / 34 CSW / 23% In Zone Whiff / 66% FPS / 6 XBH allowed.
