it’s always “we need to grow the game” until growing the game has us facing great international competitors and then it’s just that the nwsl teams are embarrassing. can yall shut up. do you want to see growth in other leagues or not?
my morning rant is that I’m kinda tired of this standard that Gotham needs to win every single game they play or they’re an embarrassment to the league. we’ve been playing for the last month+ with almost all of our defenders down.
The NWSL announced they will maintain the current spring-to-fall schedule through the 2028, 2029, and 2030 seasons. The calendar shift could still be a future change. However, it would NOT happen before 2031 🗓️
The decision "reflects our confidence in the strong momentum & growth the league has achieved under its current structure."
yes, they HAVE to come up with a solution very soon. but it’s honestly the principle. we as humans deserve access to good food, positive green space, and a lot of necessitates that clearly that community does not have.
growing the league is so cool but also what can we do to ensure that the cities are sustaining their communities? poor taste in the mouth knowing the nwsl columbus training facility is replacing plans to improve an area with a low socioeconomic standing
Recent NWSL expansion fees:
• 2021: $2M
• 2023: $53M
• Jan 2025: $110M
• Nov 2025: $165M
• Yesterday: $205M
That tells you everything you need to know about the growth of women's soccer in America right now.
Is the USMNT good? No. But are the players likable? Also no. But do they at least seem like they care? Also no! But the tickets are 2,000 dollars and the head coach will yell at you if you don’t buy them
