Azzi Fudd is a two-way, three-level scorer. The three is elite. The middy is lethal. And she told us herself, “I know I’m a good three-point shooter, but I’m more than that,” before spending stretches of her rookie season spamming middies like she was personally conducting a refresher course. 😭

That’s what bothers me about the label. You take two things Azzi does exceptionally well and somehow make them the definition of her game.
The three and the defence are weapons in a much larger arsenal.

name one UConn superstar who has averaged 25 PPG. that doesn’t happen in Geno’s system that is foundationally built on sharing the basketball. which is why it’s had the success it’s had. neither Stewie, Diana, or Maya averaged 25PPG in college and nobody is ranking Hidalgo or Juju in college before any of those three.
