So my Mom moved into her retirement home today. I was able to visit her briefly. I may see her tomorrow after work, as well.
It appears as though she's being well-looked after, so that's good.
I do still have a tiny bit of anxiety about all this, but I'm doing my best to cope.
So I've meant to inform you all:
My mother recently had a fall. She wasn't injured, but she had to see her doctor, who sent her to emerge.
They then found out she has a cardiovascular issue (heart-based) and now she may have to stay in a retirement home, briefly or otherwise.
"X Fanbase is so insufferable."
So complaining about how apparently "insufferable" a fanbase is somehow makes you come across as MORE sufferable?
Sounds like pretty backwards logic to me.
Fuck's sake, this is why I can never trust trends on here, because there's always a non-zero chance that a bunch of people could be actively whining about whatever's trending.
If you like other platforms, or retro gaming, or whatever the heck else, fine, cool, do that.
But you could at least then have the decency to let others enjoy what they enjoy.
Like it just sounds so stupid to me that people are always ragging on about the price of the Switch 2 when very little else if much at all is cheaper than a Switch 2 these days.
Especially if it's MODERN tech.
At least with groceries, buying expensive stuff is excusable there because you legit need food and drink to live.
But a Switch 2 is NOT a required purchase.
Say what you will about Nintendo's "$450 system" (which is even MORE expensive outside of the U.S., I'll have you know), it's still less than a Steam Deck or ROG Ally or what have you.
EVERYTHING is stupid expensive these days, man. You seen the goddamn price of GROCERIES at all?
Let's be real, here. If Nintendo announced a new Zelda so soon into the Switch 2 generation, people would STILL whine because it's "Oh, yet another Zelda game."
At least for those who want a legit NEW Zelda, this gives them more time to polish up a potential new one.
