@michaelturton @whitebison66 This isn’t piracy - that would require international waters and non-State actors. Not agreeing with what’s been done but it’s not piracy. We deal with piracy a lot. And this isn’t it.
@keanfei47 When does it stop? It’s just stunning. How many hundreds of crossings I’ve made and still I can’t help myself. Love that you’ve been doing this a little longer than me.
@subihkg You're really selling me on that one! I remember reading the Third World War by General Sir John Hackett (written in 1978 I now see) and it had the same effect. Just chillingly real.
What a time to be alive. We will all remember where we were when the ‘Professional Eating’ championship occurred with these two legends bringing the full noise. #professionaleating
@Phillip_In_HK That’s brilliant. Reminds me of the old joke “I would rather die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in fear like his passengers”
HK airport - first time visitors family in front of me don’t have cash for the taxi. The man managing the taxi stand brusquely sends them to get some (didn’t explain why/where). The taxi I get in has no clue where he’s going but has 4 phones on the go. And, Uber is the problem??
@MEKowalski Excellent question. Why would anyone arriving here for the first time take a taxi to where they want to go rather than the train which may not indeed go where they want to go. Why do taxis even exist when trains are already there. Congrats. You’ve added a lot to the discussion.
He ended up trying to drive through a red light and turning in to a one-way street…obviously going the wrong way. I explained how bad it all was and he had no clue what I was talking about. No way to complain reasonably. And Uber is the problem.
