@theworldofdog What a sweet dog, good video, however do we just ignore the fact that this man, as old as he looks, should be at home enjoying his own dog if he wants! I hope he’s working because he wants to and not because he has to in order to provide for himself and others.
There was a little coffee shop where two people arrived and approached the counter.
“Five coffees ☕️ please. Two for us and three pending.”
They paid, they took their two coffees and left.
I asked the waiter. "What’s this about pending coffees?"
“Wait and you'll see."
Some more people came in.
Two girls asked for a coffee each, they paid and left.
The following order was for seven coffees and it was made by three women -
Three for them and four pending coffees.
I was left wondering...what is the meaning of the pending coffees, they leave.
Then, a man dressed in worn clothes, who looks like he might be homeless, arrives at the counter and asks sincerely...
“Do you have a coffee pending?”
“Yes we do, sir.”
They serve him a coffee.... I got my answer.
People pay in advance for a coffee that will be served to whoever can't afford a hot drink.
This tradition started in Naples.
Amazingly, it has spread throughout the world’s cities and towns.
It’s also possible to order not only “pending coffees” but also a sandwich or a full low cost meal.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could all start doing this in the cities and towns where we live?
Small kindnesses like this can impact so many lives, in ways we could never imagine.
Maybe we should all try it.
😊❤️🌹
@DougJones Anyone who boycotted the NFL because of players disrespecting the country by kneeling, but will continue to support the PGA are showing that their patriotism was just a mask for their racism
@matthewjdowd Amen Matthew! I wish that Jay Monahan would just say the truth… it’s all about the money. I’m already tired of hearing “this is good for the game of golf” that’s BS! The PGA was bought, nothing more to be said.
This 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud lady, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o’clock, with her hair fashionably coiffed and makeup perfectly applied, even though she is legally blind, moved to a nursing home yesterday. Her husband of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary.
After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, she smiled sweetly when told her room was ready. As she maneuvered her walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of her tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on her window. “I love it,” she stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy.
“Mrs. Jones, you haven’t seen the room …. just wait.”
“That doesn’t have anything to do with it,” she replied. “Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn’t depend on how the furniture is arranged, it’s how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it. It’s a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice;
I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I’ll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I’ve stored away, just for this time in my life.”
She went on to explain, “Old age is like a bank account, you withdraw from what you’ve put in. So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank account of memories Thank you for your part in filling my Memory bank. I am still depositing.”
And with a smile, she said: “Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less, & enjoy every moment.

BREAKING: Students at the New College of Florida unveil a powerful rebuke of Ron DeSantis’ “hostile takeover” of their school by announcing an alternative graduation ceremony in protest.
Called “[NEW] Commencement: On Our Terms,” the event has already raised $107,000 and is designed to oppose DeSantis’ fascist decision to replace the school’s Board of Trustees with his far-right minions.
The educational coup resulted in the college eliminating its diversity, equity and inclusion programs — all part of the Republican Party’s war to whitewash history and defend systemic racism.
Please retweet and ❤️ if you stand with the brave students — and consider joining Tribel, a new Twitter competitor that is growing like wildfire because Elon Musk is desperately trying to bury it. @MikeSington It was all planned….the people in charge need ratings, and they knew tRump would be tRump. Kaitlyn Collins has damaged her career, I wonder if she thinks it was worth it?!?!
@joncoopertweets@CNN Let him have the town hall, the guilty verdict will be such a distraction, probably won’t be able to talk about anything else. Let him dig himself further into a hole.
@clintonharp If we can’t ban the guns because they cry “the constitution “ then regulate the hell out of the bullets!!!! Anyone can buy a car but you can’t drive it without having the proper license and registration!!!
