22nd Cardiff Scout Group

We’re Scouts and everyone is welcome here. Every week we bring youngsters in our community aged 4 – 14 the skills they need for life.

Today’s a special day where we celebrate everything about Wales and St David, the Patron Saint of Wales. Here’s 5 things you may not know about St David.

All of us at Cardiff and Vale Scouts would like to give a huge Congratulations to Eddie a Squirrel from @22ndcardiff.

Eddie has been chosen as one of only twenty “Bear Grylls Unsung Heroes” on behalf of 22nd Cardiff’s Squirrel Drey.

[22nd Cardiff Scout Group @22ndcardiff]

@east_scouts I meant to tag you too but pressed send too soon!

[22nd Cardiff Scout Group @22ndcardiff]

We are so proud of our Squirrel, Eddie, who has been chosen as one of Bear Grylls’ Unsung Heroes.

Eddie lead a sponsored scoot in our Drey, and between the Squirrels we covered over 75km and raised over £100 for @ChildhoodTT.

Da iawn Eddie, and da iawn Squirrels! 🐿️ 🌟

We remember HM The Queen as a respected leader, a beloved monarch and Patron. She was truly a friend to Scouts everywhere. For seventy years, she has stood at our side, encouraging our volunteers and inspiring our young people to learn new skills, help others and shine brightly.

It’s #WorldMusicDay To help celebrate, here’s our latest Squirrels tune, The Jumping Song, especially for 4-6 year olds from our 620 Squirrel Dreys, all learning #SkillsForLife

@MrTomBaker Aw thanks Tom – and thanks for being such a fab leader with us. We couldn’t make the magic happen without you!

[22nd Cardiff Scout Group @22ndcardiff]

@ScoutsCymru And four to fourteen just sounds a million times better 😉

[22nd Cardiff Scout Group @22ndcardiff]

@ScoutsCymru We would have loved to see this available for Squirrels! Is there any reason they’ve been forgotten?

Water safety is so important for everyone. It feels like a bit of an oversight to have this badge as 6-14, especially when Squirrels can do staged Emergency Aid.
