aave is complex and whole
it has its own grammar, vocabulary, and even culture. to deny this is to deny real history and impact
it's not your "slang" to misuse, dismiss, and claim as your own. it's Black innovation, creativity, and longevity
Namoral, a galera preta estadunidense precisa continuar se impondo. Pq isso tudo são eles ressentidos pq eles sempre acham que podem fazer o que quiser com quem quiser. Quando eles veem que precisam respeitar ou entender umas coisinhas eles tiltam tmnc
They'll do ts and then say stuff like "oh I picked it up from American movies and tv shows" are yall exclusively watching shit made by Tyler Perry or something ????
It’s just ironic that AAVE having been treated as simple poor grammar or a sign of unintelligence for as long as black people have used it suddenly gets graced with the privilege of being a dialect once non black people are interested in using it as well
@MarvLmk i don’t have a problem w ppl knowing multiple languages. if u do that’s wonderful. i have a problem w ppl disrespecting aave & using the “i speak multiple languages” shtick to further invalidate us even though it’s irrelevant to the conversation
@JacobP70543 😭okay but aave and Ebonics are dialects and how a black person uses them sounds different in every state they are in? Black Americans just dislike when non black Americans make fun of how we speak, then use the same language they just made fun of
getting mad at black americans for being protective of our culture after years of not only bastardizing it, but claiming it doesn’t exist is the funniest shit we’ve seen from non americans as of late
