Ok but why is no one talking about when All That had "auditions" and you went online to get your script, you sent in a audition tape, and they showed them on TV, Where are those tapes now?? Why is no one talking about this? #quietonset
This Alabama decision to call embryos children is wild to watch. Never mind how terrible it is. The precedent. All that stuff.
Just watching Republicans realize what they did is cracking me up.
Now, Republicans obviously don't give two shits about pro life. They just want children produced because they want workers. It just happens to help with their evangelical base.
But the one thing Republicans care about most is money.
Now they're trying to figure out how to spin this as they piss everyone off, including rich ppl. Because now they're preventing ppl who want to have children from having one. But what they're also doing is messing up an 8 billion dollar industry because it's big money to have these procedures. I believe it's anywhere from like 8-14k dollars.
They've created this religious right monster, and now they don't know how to turn it off. Pretty soon Republicans are going to realize what the rest of us already know.
You can't negotiate with the Christian right, and they won't stop until they achieve their goals of a complete theocracy.
Contraception is coming next.
This ruling on frozen embryos in Alabama is not just cruel; it's a devastating blow to IVF patients, adding financial burden and emotional distress with each failed cycle.
Medical decisions on reproductive health should not be left to balded old white conservative men. A panel of doctors should be consulted for such rulings.
Also in the Alabama ruling on frozen embryos is this:
“Doctors must create just one embryo at a time. Each embryo, no matter how poor its quality, must be transferred. Only one embryo may be transferred at a time. If the cycle fails, the whole process must start all over again.
IVF patients would have to accept the transfer of a single low-quality embryo that is certain to fail—and to do so one embryo at a time. Each transfer requires months’ worth of expensive medication, including injectable, both before and after the procedure. And each failed cycle requires the patient to start all over again. Most states (including Alabama) do not require insurance to cover IVF, and each cycle can cost up to $30,000. This would force patients—the ones who can afford it—to undergo doomed, single-embryo transfers, one by one.”
If you know ANYONE who has been through IVF, you know exactly how fucking cruel this is.
I wish I was “frugal” I really, truly do I just simply have zero mental opposition to spending $20 on a burger and fries from five guys. I think it’s fine if an event charges $10 to park. I don’t care if I “have something at home” if I see a little treat that I want that would make me smile I’m gonna buy it. If we’re going to be on this floating rock while we watch historic event after historic event absolutely annihilate any hope we had of a peaceful and prosperous life, I’m going to spend the random money I have on silly little things that make my days even one percentage point better. I’m not getting out of this alive and I’m not taking my bank account with me to the void.
Like if you’re to the point I can’t even have a conversation with you and your eyes are closed and you’re stumbling around and not making sense get the hell away from me
I didn’t think I’d ever say this but I feel as though I’m entering a phase in my life where I’m getting so tired of drinking and being around drunk people.
