After a selection process of Wing and Regional interviews, we are delighted to announce that CI @robert_weddle was appointed this afternoon with a Queen’s Cadet Forces Commission and now takes up the rank of Acting Pilot Officer.

This evening, five cadets lead by FS Russell and supported by CI Weddle were able to meet outdoors for a socially distanced walk up Lomond Hills.

All cadets enjoyed the hike and can't wait to be back face-to-face indoors!

Today we bid farewell to CWO Weddle (once a cadet always a cadet - yes he came back). After 7 years he officially ages out as CWO Weddle and joins the staff team! Weddle has attained many achievements to date, but those that are notable are his; Silver DofE, ACPS,

SMK Pilot Scholarship, Bill Reid VC Leadership winner for South East Scotland Wing 2019, best overall cadet 2016, 2017, 2019.

We look forward to seeing Mr Weddle excel in his new CFAV role as the Squadron Adjutant.
