Chigwell Squadron was formed on 28 September 1958 and was originally based at RAF Chigwell, a radar and barrage  balloon base (the site is now occupied by the David Lloyd centre).  The base was de-commissioned in 1968 and, eventually, the Squadron moved to its current location.

It is with great pride the squadrons commanding officer was able to present Cadet of the month and a promotion to Sergeant Hill-Smith. Not only has she consistently been an outstanding cadet. She may have in fact saved a life last week.
