Did you know Turkey was the first Muslim-majority country to recognize Israel in 1949?🤔

Today, Turkey and Israel often criticize each other over wars, regional security, and the future of the Middle East. 🇹🇷🇮🇱
But here's the surprising part: they weren't always rivals.

During the Cold War, the two countries found common interests. Turkey was a NATO member with close ties to the est,while Israel was looking for reliable regional partners.🤝

Over the years, they expanded military cooperation, shared intelligence, increased trade, and welcomed millions of tourists between the two countries.

Relations began to cool in the 2000s as Turkey's foreign policy changed under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

One major turning point came in 2010, when Israeli commandos boarded the Mavi Marmara, a Turkish-led aid ship attempting to reach Gaza. The raid left ten activists dead and triggered one of the biggest diplomatic crises between the two countries. 😐

Although relations later improved for a time, repeated conflicts involving Gaza continued to strain the partnership.

Today, the relationship is shaped by disagreements over Gaza, Iran, Syria, and regional security. Turkey has strongly criticized Israel's military operations in Gaza, while Israel has raised concerns about Turkey's support for Hamas, which Israel, the United States, and the European Union designate as a terrorist organization.

The question now is: could Turkey and Israel rebuild their partnership one day, or has that chapter of history already come to an end?🧐
