@NovaDking4@InternetH0F You can take any safety concerns you have up with the proper authorities there. They will then maybe address it with the landlord if they feel like it.
I don't think a place with a broken fire escape is worth much. Apparently, people there seem to think it's worth thousands.
@digitdash@JeffryPegu1990@InternetH0F Everyone wants to live in NYC. Until NYC's population deceases or until millions of new units are built, prices will never come down.
You are not fighting landlords. You are fighting reality. High demand = higher prices. Low demand = lower prices.
@NovaDking4@InternetH0F >Yet they still charge rent
Housing demand is very high in NYC because it's one of the most desired cities in the US. Until more units are added or people leave, nothing will change. It's just supply and demand. You are not fighting landlords here, you are fighting reality.
@BishopKarel@Brianftw5@urbanleg3nd2@InternetH0F There's just no incentive for people to fix up houses if there's endless demand and if people are willing to pay big bucks for it.
NYC is one of the most desired cities in the world. Looking for bargains there is like looking for the dollar menu at a steakhouse.
@Jacqueline7865@urbanleg3nd2@InternetH0F People who own 1000 units? Sure. People who own 1-2 houses? No. When someone leaves, doesn't pay, does damage or something breaks, it's a loss. Meanwhile, taxes, water and electricity still need paid.
Why would a landlord improve an a place if rent can't be raised?
@ReesJonty@Izengabe_ The federal government will just bail them out like always with money that doesn't really exist either.
It's just a giant game of Monopoly. The money is fake, but everyone is on the game. As long as they bribe the outsiders or ignore them enough, the game keeps on.
@shaayy64@Box607@Fightful Not everyone can be pushed hard or be in the main event at the same time. Every wrestler wants to be a top guy. Business clearly does better if Cody is on top than if Brutus Creed is on top. Someone has to make that call, and it's WWE.
@ThatKennDawg Did you decline to do the spot or tell Tommy you felt uncomfortable doing it? If you did neither, how would he know?
This happened in 2017, what outcome are you looking for to solve this dispute?
Why do you feel it was better to bring this up publicly than privately?
@Truckenomics@WallStreetApes So what would you like him to do @Truckenomics? He can't get his a job in his field and you don't want him working at Pizza Hut. Where should he be working in your world?
@bourscheid I also have to ask, how are you going to deal with all the workers and businesses that you will bankrupting my doing this? You're going to have a lot of people out of work and angry at you, aren't you? You fighting back? @bourscheid
@TimTimboFL@Oilfield_Rando Just see J6. People not even involved in that were getting arrested for major charges. There is absolutely nothing stopping from the government from doing that to these people, except a lack of desire.
@CitusViratus@Oilfield_Rando Their bosses and their bosses bosses won't let them. This stuff is essentially pro wrestling where the police pretend they can't do anything and the rioters will face no real consequences. This has been going on since Obama's reign.
