Happy New Year! 2024 is now officially in the books. I'm really happy and blessed to be able to say I've compounded at 55.5%, over the past 5 years. Keep in mind there was zero leverage to achieve these returns. This is what that looks like. Good luck to everyone in 2025!

In 2023, Stanford professor Graham Weaver gave his last lecture on how to destroy fear & live a wildly ambitious life.
His frameworks:
- Suffering is inevitable
- Signup for "10 years" test
- "Not me" & "Not now" traps
13 lessons on how to build an asymmetric life:
$LVLU - Q1 as expected. Net debt down to $5.9M on lower inventory. Best Q1 GM since '22 even with wholesale doubling. Guided to +EBITDA and y/o/y growth in Q2. 10 major wholesale accts vs 4 a year ago. Revs to inflect in 2H with new casual lines. $9.30 stock price much too low.
On Monday, 5/11/26, my Flagship account had an unrealized $263K $BZFD loss. On Monday night, we sold a bunch of shares, around $2. YTD 2026, $BZFD is now a $100K realized gain and about a $100K unrealized gain.
I'm very grateful and Thank God this one work out. I still own a number of shares, over 200K shares, but I right sized the position.
I'm confused why the market isn't give the company much more credit for Byron Allen becoming the New Chairman and CEO and investing up to $120 million, at $3... but algos love mean reversion shorting high percentage micro-caps gainers.. I will talk about / think about the business, perhaps in a future post.
Every parent needs to see this.
Shocking MRI study on preschoolers (ages 3-5) reveals that just 2 hours of daily interactive screen time is causing measurable LOSS of white matter in their developing brains.
This directly impairs language, literacy, and neural connectivity.
Little brains need real-world play, love, and human connection — not devices rewiring them before kindergarten.
Protect your children. Put the screens down.
Hugh Grant: "It's been very, very depressing watching Big Tech kidnap their lives, and to see children really finding it very, very difficult to get properly interested in anything that isn't a screen."
This teacher-turned-cognitive scientist shared a disturbing reality that left the room stunned.
“Our kids are LESS cognitively capable than we were at their age.”
Every previous generation outperformed its parents since we began recording in the late 1800s.
So, what happened?
Screens.
Dr. Jared Horvath explained:
“Gen Z is the first generation in modern history to underperform us on basically every cognitive measure we have, from basic attention to memory, to literacy, to numeracy, to executive functioning, to EVEN GENERAL IQ, even though they go to more school than we did.”
“So why? … The answer appears to be the tools we are using within schools to drive that learning (screens).”
“If you look at the data, once countries adopt digital technology widely in schools, performance goes down significantly, to the point where kids who use computers about five hours per day in school for learning purposes will score over two-thirds of a standard deviation LESS than kids who rarely or never touch tech at school. And that’s across 80 countries.”
But screens aren’t just decimating learning and making new generations less intelligent than the ones before them.
They’re doing something far worse. And when you take a closer look, it isn’t pretty. 🧵
