This is a first for me - Grass Vetchling - found in a couple of locations this week, this one @HatchlandsNT. If it wasn't in flower, you would think it was grass! Very delicate and brightly coloured.

For the #WildflowerHour #orchidchallenge I was very pleased this afternoon to find a bee orchid, bird's-nest orchids and butterfly orchid, as well as the common spotted orchid. These bird's-nests were growing in dark woodland shade. Chance finds on our walk.

Datura stramonium, (Thornapple), found today on the perimeter of a disused former airfield. All parts are very poisonous and hallucinogenic!

A few days away for me in West Dorset where wild garlic dominates woods, country lanes and roadside banks. Also flowering were Honesty, Comfrey, Red Campion, and Cuckoo flower/Lady's Smock for #WildFlowerHour

I've never seen this before, but spotted in a hedgerow earlier this week: Wild Aztec Tobacco, Nicotiana rustica

The seeds of this very potent species are the original tobacco seeds introduced to England by Sir Walter Raleigh.

Beautiful wild cyclamen in shades of white, pink and mauve. Delicate Verbena officinalis (vervain) and lots of ivy coming into flower - great for the bees. All for tonight's #wildflowerhour

Acorn, hawthorn, sloe, rosehips, hops, Holly, elderberry, cuckoo pint, crab apples, byrony, hips, burdock and rowan. Oh, and picked blackberries for breakfast ...
