Tony Gachoka please, you've been struggling with Alcoholism for 20 or so years, Nairobi is struggling with drainage.. Hamwezi kuwa maji nyinyi wote... No!
Instead of useless 100 member committee, we could consider moving forward as follows
1. We set specific days to be hosting spaces, say Tuesdays and Thursdays, as kind of the people's parliament.
2. Then during the spaces we will be discussing issues that we need acted on, for instance if it is police reforms, we discuss what exactly needs to be done, collect views from many members and take minutes then we pursue the implementation of those recommendations.
3. The recommendations could be on many different topics like how to deal with corruption and corrupt individuals, audit of public debt, reduction of salaries of public servants such as MPs, elimination of CDF so that MPs focus on their constitutional mandate, accountability and transparency of public institutions and many others.
4. The first agenda we could discuss and pass as a memorandum could be the reconstitution of IEBC so that we are able to recall MPs..and the newly appointed IEBC must have our representatives or people trusted by the movement thus far.
5. We may have a secretary who takes minutes and records the recommendations or memoranda adopted by members then we share with the concerned offices and circulate heavily until acted upon.
6. If they fail to act upon the memoranda within agreed time limits, we go back to the streets.
7. We MUST remain leaderless and tribeless to avoid compromise, so we will only have a convenor of the space and a secretary, functions which anybody can perform, so that even if a convenor were to be compromised, another one would just take over and host the space.
8. We have an actual chance to ensure our voice is actually heard and our wishes are followed.
9. We will also use the space for civic education and to keep track of all bills going through parliament so that we ensure we know what is contained in those bills and we give our input including rejecting the ones we don't want
